Community Access Support

Enjoy community activities

Support to build confidence, connection and a life that feels more your own.

More than just going somewhere

Get out with the right support

At Positive Care Solutions, we support participants to take part in the community in ways that feel comfortable, useful and connected to their goals. That might mean attending appointments, shopping, joining social or recreational activities, volunteering, getting back into familiar routines or slowly building confidence in new places.

For some participants, getting out into the community can feel exciting. For others, it can feel overwhelming, unfamiliar or hard to manage without the right support.

We take the time to understand what feels manageable, what helps the participant feel safe, and what kind of support will make community access feel like a genuine part of life, not just somewhere they are taken.

The benefits

The difference community involvement can make

The right Community Access support can help participants feel more connected to the world around them. It can create routine, build confidence, reduce isolation and support people to take part in everyday life in ways that feel realistic for them.

More confidence outside the home

Participants are supported to get out, try new things and build confidence in different community settings at a pace that feels right.

A stronger weekly routine

Regular activities, appointments and outings can help create structure in the week and give participants something familiar to work towards.

Less isolation

Community access can support social connection, everyday conversation and more opportunities to be around people and places that matter.

More independence in daily life

From shopping and appointments to travel practice and decision-making, participants can build practical skills with support close by.

What makes our support different

We look at the person, not just the activity

We shape community access around the participant’s interests, support needs, confidence level and goals. Some people need encouragement. Some need structure. Some need flexibility. Some need a calm person beside them while they work through something that feels new.

Activities with purpose

Community access is shaped around the participant’s interests, goals and what feels meaningful in their everyday life.

Confidence at the right pace

New places, people and routines can take time. Support is paced around what feels manageable, with encouragement when the participant is ready.

Everyday life skills

Shopping, appointments, errands, health activities and travel practice can all become opportunities to build confidence and independence.

Real participation

The goal is not just getting somewhere. It is helping the participant feel included, involved and more connected to the community around them.
